Handcrafted in the Smokies
Nestled along the road through Cosby, we create small-batch handmade goods that carry the warmth of Appalachian craftsmanship into your everyday life.
Our Story
A Little Something Handmade began as a quiet pursuit — a desire to make things by hand that carry meaning. Located on Cosby Highway, our small studio has become a gathering place for those who appreciate the beauty of the imperfect, the unique, and the genuinely made.
Every item in our collection is crafted in-house, using techniques passed down through generations of Appalachian artisans. We work with natural materials — wood, ceramic, textile, wax — allowing each piece to reveal its own character.
"What we lack in speed, we make up for in soul."
The Collection
Each creation is one of a kind, bearing the subtle marks of its making. No two are exactly alike — and that is precisely the point.
Wheel-thrown and hand-glazed in small batches
Natural fibers, plant-dyed, loom-woven
Pure beeswax, essential oils, hand-poured
Turned from locally sourced hardwoods
Raw stones, hammered metals, wire-wrapped
Functional art for everyday rituals
The Process
We source natural materials locally whenever possible — clay from the region, hardwoods from sustainably managed forests, beeswax from nearby hives.
Each piece is made entirely by hand in our Cosby studio. There are no molds, no machines — just patience, skill, and attention to detail.
Whether you visit us on Cosby Highway or order online, each piece is carefully packaged and sent with a handwritten note.
